In a recent study, we tested two versions of a hotel’s website to see which one was more effective. The test was run by dividing visitors between both versions equally so that the results represented user behaviour over the same time frame. The test ran across hotels in Europe during Q4 of 2022.
- In version A, website visitors were not exposed to any type of notifications or booking incentives.
- In version B, website visitors saw multiple Userguest notifications and RevMarketing Automation was automatically applied (this included personalized incentives and benefits).
Results were clear: The test’s hotels in version B experienced improved performance.
Some of the main highlights include:
𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 (+𝟰𝟯%)
𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 (+𝟯𝟬%)
𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗗𝗥 (+𝟳%)
𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 (+𝟵%)
Here are 4 reasons why:
By creating a more personalized user journey & tailored experience, visitors find exactly what they need, making them more likely to book.
Displaying promos, offers and incentives can influence visitors to stay longer or spend more, increasing LoS & booking value.
Displaying price comparisons shows visitors they’ve found the best deal, reassuring them to book direct.
Including smart notifications on a hotel website ultimately improves bookings and therefore increases revenue.
